1. Which trials are eligible for funding within the KCE Trials programme? KCE Trials funds research into comparative effectiveness. Development trials (innovation) and implementation research are not eligible for funding by KCE Trials.

KCE Trials Panel Group of experts who give advice on and prioritisation of clinical topics for their importance to patients and the healthcare system. There is an important demand for clinical trials to fill existing evidence gaps and to advance healthcare. In addition to EU funded or co-funded initiatives, the possibilities for obtaining funding for clinical trials in Belgium have expanded over the past years. Trials can broadly be grouped into comparative effectiveness trials of existing interventions and trials to develop a new intervention.
