Planned study - This study will assess the legislation which allows certain persons (so-called ‘qualified helpers’) to perform technical nursing services under certain conditions without being qualified nurses themselves. It will focus particularly on the implementation of the conditions imposed by the legislator (reporting, voluntary nature, informed consent, training, etc.). The aim is to determine whether the practical implementation of these conditions presents difficulties or has undesirable consequences. Given the very broad scope of application (schools, early childhood care, youth movements, disability sector), the study will be limited to an open survey within the sectors concerned and a qualitative component (e.g. focus groups, individual interviews, analysis of the questions asked to official bodies by people in the field), possibly supplemented with an analysis of the data collection required by law (e.g. joint committee reports).
