Withdrawn study - Some Health Services Research (HSR) projects yield recommendations which are felt to be too generic and poorly adapted to the diverse realities encountered in Belgium, including political differences between regions and communities.
This is why this methodological study was included in the 2018 research programme, with the aim of improving the relevance and acceptability of recommendations in HSR projects. This concern is somewhat similar to those of project 2018-71 (Method) Realist Approach, which was withdrawn from the research programme because there appeared to be no real need for mastering this methodology among KCE experts. As a result, it was decided that it would be more appropriate to set up a working group including experts, management and the communication department, whose tasks would include issuing internal guidelines to enhance the relevance of the recommendations and harmonise their drafting. In the future, this working group could also include researchers from Sciensano and the Hoge Gezondheidsraad/Conseil Supérieur de la Santé, with a view to mutually enriching practices.
