Studies may sometimes be withdrawn from the research programme for various reasons, for example because of methodological difficulties or because new developments make them less relevant. The author of the proposal is always personally informed of this decision and of the reasons behind it, along with any information obtained during the preparation or the first stages of the study (if applicable) that could be of use to them.
From 2025 onwards, the studies withdrawn from the programme will also be listed on the KCE website, together with an explanatory note.
