Pharmacogenetic tests in Belgium
KCE Reports 382C (2024)Pharmacogenetic tests aim to determine how a patient's DNA can influence the effect of certain medications, in order to refine the choice of therapy or its dosage. KCE has assessed the way these tests are currently used in Belgium. It concludes the conditions for the effective use of pharmacogenetic tests are currently not sufficiently met, and a consensus on the clinical usefulness of some tests sometimes appears to be lacking.
