Planned study - Cerebral palsy is a persistent impairment of motor function resulting from brain damage occurring in the early stages of development, usually before, during or shortly after birth. This study will focus on the clinical added value and costs of periods of intensive motor therapy in children with cerebral palsy. We believe that sufficient high-quality scientific sources are available to assess the clinical effectiveness of this kind of therapy. The outcome measures used in literature and the limited availability of Belgian data limit the possibilities in terms of economic evaluation, but a cost estimate will be made based on available evidence.
