Planned study - Immunoglobulins (Ig) are administered to patients with immune disorders, autoimmune diseases and certain neurological diseases to prevent infections or to slow down or support the immune system.
This study will focus primarily on the demand for immunoglobulins (Ig), providing a detailed analysis of their use in Belgium. The assessment will cover both use in reimbursed indications and off-label use, in order to better understand for which patients and in which indications these blood products are most frequently used. A comparison with other countries will be carried out and trends will be analysed
The potential added value of describing current monitoring mechanisms and their shortcomings in comparison with other countries will be assessed after the start of the project. Work already available on this subject within the framework of the European SUPPLY project will be taken into consideration.
