Progress in funded studies
We are happy to announce the following important milestones have been reached in the trials listed below:
| 3 long covid studies FPI |

| RenoMet Recruitment complete |
Metformin as RenoProtector Progressive Chronic Kidney Disease. Recruitment of the RenoMet study was closed beginning of June. The study was heavily impacted by COVID-19 but could continue thanks to the efforts of the whole team and active collaborating centers. The study now enters the second phase where the retention of patients in the study will be the main challenge. |
|
| IODA Pilot Recruitment complete |
Feasibility study for an RCT comparing Immediate versus Optional Delayed surgical repair for treatment of acute anterior cruciate ligament injury. This pilot study stopped recruiting end of April and feasibility results were analysed in light of a full RCT. Also this study was heavily impacted by COVID-19 as elective surgery was postponed and sports activities suspended. Preparations are ongoing to set-up a full RCT building on the data and experience of the pilot trial. |
