Study 2019-20 (HTA) Cost-effectiveness of silicone adhesive multilayer foam dressings on prevention of pressure ulcers

Ongoing study - A publicly funded, randomized clinical trial was set up to determine whether the addition of silicone adhesive-based multi-layer foam dressings to conventional prevention measures reduces the incidence of pressure ulcers in at-risk hospitalized patients, compared to prevention measures alone. These dressings are applied to the sacrum, heels and greater trochanter. An economic evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of this intervention in the Belgian context will then be carried out on the basis of the results of this trial.
