TY - RPRT TI - How can we improve endometriosis care in Belgium? AU - Leroy Roos AU - Desimpel Fabian AU - Ombelet Sien AU - De Jaeger Mats AU - Benahmed Nadia AU - Camberlin Cécile AU - Christiaens Wendy AB - KCE Reports 378C (2024)In women with endometriosis, tissue similar to the lining of the uterus is also present in other parts of the body. Sometimes the disease causes no symptoms at all; in other cases, it has a considerable impact on various aspects of life, including sexual and social relationships, self-identity and body image, educational and employment opportunities, sport, quality of life. The care for women with endometriosis is still highly fragmented in Belgium, and approaches and expertise also vary greatly between hospitals. KCE is advocating (among others) the creation of accredited endometriosis clinics and specialised centres of expertise, providing multidisciplinary care tailored to each patient.  T2 - KCE Reports CY - Brussels PY - 2024 LA - English M3 - Health Services Research (HSR) PB - Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE) SN - 378C VO - D/2024/10.273/12 DO - https://doi.org/10.57598/R378C ER -
