Study 2017-15 (HSR) Costs related to incontinence problems and recommendations for reimbursement

Ongoing study - Under certain conditions, persons suffering from untreatable incontinence are eligible for reimbursement by national health insurance. Two payments exist: a payment for dependent persons on one hand, and a payment for untreatable urinary incontinence on the other hand. The two payments however are incoherent and a revision of the payments is needed. KCE has been requested to study the costs linked to incontinence problems and to explore options for a coherent and integrated financing of incontinence problems, taking into account the involvement of different policy levels and domains.
